The smell is roasted and sweet. Some spicy notes with bitter-fruity American hoppy flavours.
The colour is dark brown-red, almost black. The two finger pale brown head sinks slowly leaving some lacing.
The taste is dry and hoppy with some very roasted notes. There are some notes of fruit candy. It reminds me a bit of Irish stout dry hopped with American varieties. Hints of soap and citric-sourness. The body is low to medium. The aftertaste is very dry and very roasted. Hints of charcoal and coffee. I noticed some of the fresh and a little sour notes that I recall from other dark Dugges ales.
The carbonation is strong; the large bubbles are fresh. The liquid is light to medium.
An exciting beer, hard to categorize. Shame about that soap flavour, though.

The beer is dark brown with hints of red, a good off-white head leaving good lacing.
The smell is "AIPA"-ish, citric, grape, pine and fresh grass.
The taste is caramel, loaf of bread, red grape-fruit juice.
Medium high carbonation, a small body but refreshing feeling, a dry finish.
Not at all bad, a bit too watery, but on the other hand quite refreshing.
