Blind-tasted/rated. I'll read the labelling after I've rated/reviewed here. Any late findings would go into a p.s. at the end.
L- Mid+ amber, ie. darker than 'euro-lager'. Pours with a very slight haze and 2mm white fine-bubble cap.
S- Mild, just some breadiness here.
T- I get the dry bright tang of the carbonation right on the front. Followed by moderate malt/grain and hoppy/CO2 dryness in the finish. Rather wish it had more of the latter vs the former.
F- It is refreshing, the CO2+hops combined. The body is relatively light, so I think suited to hotter vs colder months. It's ok, but doesn't strike me as anything of great note. Good carbonation.
O- I note the 'WBA 2015 - France/Silver' logo on the lable. But I'm not sure I found what must have so impressed the judges that day. There is no sense of this brew having a clear identity; something I could recognise, enjoy and buy it for in future. Nothing stands out for me as having any wow factor to it.
Bought from Carrefour, Belley, France. 750ml bottle.
p.s. Ingredients incl: wheat and barkley malts and spices (unspecified). I got zero hint of spices present. Majority wheat malt in part explains why the taste/body comes over as notably light. BB: 10/2024 Lot: 1261143

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
