The bottle carries the World Beer Award France-Gold-2019 logo, wow, well let's see.
L- Pours veeeery dark chestnut, clear, with a 1Cm dense pale tan head.
S- Deeply roasted malts, nice.
T- Some richness, complex roasted malts aspect, into a hoppy-dry twist in the finish. Within the malts aspect is a brief glimpse of fruity esters, it's quite intriguing.
F- Nice and roasty, notably pungest, it's quite a 'slow-sippin' beer. So I'd suggest starting it off with a decent chill on it as it might take a while to finish...
O- Nice, something a bit different for a Brune, well put togather, I'm not surprised it has accolades.
Bought last year from Carrefour Belley France (not too far from brewery). 750ml bottle. BB: 01/24, but at 7% it'll be fine and is.
