Pours a hazel color with some effervescence & no head
S: Bourbon notes, some jammy port notes once warm
T: Follows the nose, sourwood notes & a little brown sugar a little boozey, Leafy hops, Sourwood Bourbon, barrel dryness, a little brown sugar. Finishes with jammy & figgy port notes, boozey burn & a little honey
MF: Medium body, near zero carbonation
A good BA Old Ale not showing a lot of Port characteristics, plenty of Bourbon, has flaws with the nose, appearance & mouth feel though. They are new to the production game, so I am hoping foe onward & upward with future Barrel aged beers from them
