A - Pours out a golden orange, semi-opaque but with definite translucence, a off-white head and lots of small bubble lacing and persistent clumps of foam forming a partial cap.
S - Sharp hop herbal notes, a bit of lemony citrus, and a danker, funky undertow hinting the yeast and randier hops in play.
T - But if the nose suggests disparate, conflicting notes, the flavor is bright, full and unified. Sour citrus and mild pine at the heart, but with some tropical fruit and subtle malt sweetness give depth, and the bitter bite in the finish hints pith and zest and clears things for another drink.
M - The feel is moderate, light overall weight is coupled with substantial presence on the tongue, and the dry close that avoids cloying notes that come with some NEIPAs.
O - It is an interesting mélange. Great fruit notes give way to frisky hop elements and funky yeast and hops that remind me a bit of Saisons, honestly. It might sound like that wouldn't work, but for me it is a surprisingly satisfying experience. Glad I picked up a 4-pack when I came to the taproom.
