A - Pours out essentially opaque, brown-black, with a translucent edge of rich mahogany. A short head of light tan, fading to a thin wispy cap, and small bubble lacing.
S - Solid malt notes, honey and strong, dark bread notes, molasses and soft sweetness.
T - Follows the nose, with delicious toasty bread and honey and coffee notes, and a bit of char and hop bitterness in the finish.
M - Moderate weight, some carbonation, fairly clean finish.
O - I am a sucker for a good Schwarzbier, and this fits that bill. Solidly built brew, with nice malts and a good balancing hop bite. Tasty.
