Virpazar 4/8 2015. Huge 2 liter plastic bottle from local market. Label with crude drawing of medieval fortress to set the scene.

Pours clear yellow with a small white head which disappears almost immediately. No lacing.

Aroma is primarily malts and grains with a little sourness going on in the background. Bread and sour grains.

Medium strong carbonation. Thin, watery, lively and tingling texture.

Not much going on in the taste. A little malty sweetness, a very light bitterness in aftertaste and a lingering sourness.

Ok for refreshment - but a thin cup of beer.

500ml can from Voli supermarket, Budva (€0.59):
Clear, light straw with a bubbly white head just over 1cm tall with tonnes of visible carbonation too. The nose is basic adjuncts & slightly skunky notes with a little corn just it's a little weak. Clean tasting with a little hay & grassy hops, inoffensive & easy drinking without a lot of flavour, there's some pale malts & corn adjuncts but there's not a lot to it. The body is light, not quite thin & it's well carbonated, not quite gassy thankfully despite initial appearances. A basic macro European Lager, nothing fancy or special but better than expected given how cheap it was.
