Poured from 500mL can into a tall kitchen glass. Best by 3/10/23.
Appearance: light golden hue with quite a lot of apparent effervescence and two fingers of frothy ivory foam atop. Quite good!
Smell: a yeasty aroma with a rather earthy hop character. It's not too bad, actually, considering we're talking about a Heineken product here.
Taste: a classic light lager base with a good malt component; there's nothing adjunct-ey about this (the ingredient list confirms this contains only barley malt -- thanks, EU, for mandating ingredient lists!). Hop character is a bit more citrusy than the aroma, but overall it's an interesting flavor and is well balanced. I'm actually quite liking this.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and creaminess. A bit unexpected!
Overall: this is a refreshing and enjoyable beer. It's not anything wild or crazy, but it's super refreshing and not what I would expect from a macro brewery.
