Poured from 500mL can that I picked up at the brewery into a dimpled mug. Best by 4/24/26.

Appearance: medium-dark brown hue with a bit of cloudiness to the body and a finger of frothy tan foam atop.

Smell: moderately sweet malt with some rather aggressive, lemony hops on top. It’s kind of hard to pick out the more subtle malt characteristics because of the hops. They’re not bad, per se, but kind of out of place in a brown ale.

Taste: quite hoppy for a brown ale, though with not quite the punch of the aroma. The malt is sweet and has a nice caramel character, and like the aroma the hops are quite lemony. There’s not a whole ton of bitterness, though. Weird, but not actually bad.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and creaminess.

Overall: this isn’t a bad beer, but it’s not gonna ever be my go-to brown ale. But if you like super lemony / lemongrassy hops, then this beer may be for you!
