Pours a rich reddish-orange with THICK head. Respectable retention and light tracing. Aroma is pungent with rich toasted malt, hops, mealy Ida red apple, and metallic notes. The malts smell nice, but the rest is terrible.
The taste is atrocious. I should have learned my lesson after Dirty Blonde, but I though I'd give FBC a second try. Light body is beefed up by heavy carbonation. It tastes metallic and over-oxidized. There is a grainy flavor blended with a strong phenolic character and light apple. The same metallic sensation that coats the tongue. This stuff is nearly undrinkable. The chick's denim-clad ass on the label is this beer's best feature, but does not make up for the rest. I've now wasted my cash on two beers I can't finish.

This was formerly known as Falls Pale Ale. Purchased at Rileys in Madison. No bottle date.
Pour is golden. Decent head - gone in a flash.
Nose is of apples and tin. I smell a bit of oxidation.
Upfront taste is of corn...a bit of sweet malts, honey - then an oxidized bite. Not much more to say - no redeeming flavors - oxidized. Not as bad as when I had the old Falls Pale Ale - bit not a beer I want to consider again.

Thank You Heather Bidwell.
Appearance - The pour is great. It has a brown hazy body and a 1-inch, fast fading, sparkling tan head. It leaves an open surface for the carbonation to be seen as it hits the air. As for the bottle...how can anyone argue with the sweet curves holding up a tight pair of jeans?
Smell - The scent is very unique. The aroma is pungent and filling.
Taste - This beer is like none I've tried before. It has a hop flavor that ins more pungent than bitter. It takes you by surprise at first but it really is a captivating flavor.
Mouthfeel - The feel is affected by the flavor. The coarseness on my tongue holds the brew back a bit.
~ I would and have recommended to friends that they give this gal a try. However, this Tail ain't for the faint in flavor.

Orange/peach colored. Nice white head retains well. soft lacing. Odor of malts, lemony hops, some citrus. smells crisp. Taste is lemony and slightly bitter with a biscuity malt finish. Simple and well made. A good beer from a small brewery in northern WI.
