Sampled on 9/24/05, it came out clear and remarkably red under a 1/2 finger off white head that faded too quickly and left no lace. The nose is strong with sweet fruity syrup and grain. The mouth is very prickly and light. Good rendition of the style, with sweet spiciness and a mild bitterness. There is a slight cabbage note, which works much better than I can describe, and a good dry bitter finish. Very respectable brew.
