Shropshire Stout is a smooth easy drinking ale with underlying licorice notes. A beer of pride with a smooth temperament, a little like Hobsons really.

A: The beer is very dark brown in color. It poured with light beige lacing on the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Faint aromas of chocolate and dark malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell, but has slightly stronger flavors of chocolate and dark malts. There are slight hints of licorice in the finish.
M: It feels light-bodied, a little smooth, and somewhat thin on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is very easy to drink but the mouthfeel seems to be a little too thin.
