Draught @ CTRiver Brewers Festival: This was an all-around unappealing beer. It was a golden color, with some white head. The aroma was sweet- pretty much sickly sweet. Fruit was in there. Maybe lime. There was also some wheat down in there. The taste was not very good at all. Sickly sweet again. This wasnt even close to a Wit.

I had this out of a 12 oz brown bottle and served it in a Belgian Wit Ale glass that I recenly picked up. It states that this is a "malt beverage with spices added". I couldn't find a freshness date labeled.
Appearance is a hazy and cloudy orange.
Whiffs of fruit and spices
Tastes peachy and spicy. I notice an unappealing bitterness. Similiar to a fuit that is not ripe.
Overall, this is an enjoyable summer brew by a small brewery in Holyoke, MA.

Pours a hazy orange, topped with a three finger small bubbled white head, well carbonated. Leaves thin webs of lacing.
Sweet, medicinal aroma, lots of spices kind of like a spice cookie, orange.
Very medicinal taste, pretty tough to get through, sweet and spicy, cinammon and coriander?. Note of clover honey.
Medium bodied, crisp. Not a very pleasant beer.

The beer pours a cloudy, pale golden wheat color. A thick white crown of head builds on the pour, disappearing with soda-like quickness. A wide ring of mist remains, keeping throughout, with very little lace. A couple small blobs cling to the glass weakly, but it's really nothing to speak of. Decent head retention, a swirl of the glass generating a thin topping that dissapears slowly.
The aroma is dominated by spicy fruitiness. Tons of orange peel and coriander, almost perfumey in intensity. Similar to something from one of those Bath & Body Works stores in the mall. A bit of sugary malt and banana-like esters beneath, along with a bit of spicy, clove-like phenols.
The flavor starts with a big, sweet wheat maltiness, a strong orange and banana fruitiness immediately apparent. Tart green apple into the finish, along with milder unmalted wheat sourness. Noticable coriander spiciness, riding atop light plastic and clove phenols. A bit of ginger-like spicing. Did they actually use some, or is it the combination of the esters and coriander? The beer finishes with a pleasant mix of orange, banana and green apple fruitiness. Very lively, tingly carbonation supporting an equally lively, spicy mouthfeel. Medium bodied, with some sticky sweetness lingering on the tongue in the aftertaste.
Sampled out of a hefeweizen tulip. Almost a cross between a hefeweizen and a witbier. Very powerful flavors, with a surprising amount of orange and coriander. I wouldn't call it overdone, but I don't know if I could take down too many of these without some palate fatigue. One of my favorites from their brewers offering series. I thought this was very creative and interesting, despite some faults. My girlfriend loved it. I'll definitely pick up another sixer if i can find it, since I only got to drink one bottle!

On tap at The Other Side Café - Boston, MA
Poured a murky beige color with a crisp looking white lace, good head retention. Smelled of big time coriander and citric zest with yeast to boot. The flavor was very soapy from the spicing, solid maltiness and yeast character get beaten up a lot from the soapy onslaught. Each sip revealed a deeper soapy flavor ... after one pint I was done with this beer.

Appearance: Pours a cloudy golden/amber color with a decent head which dissapates quite quickly
Smell: Initial aromas are of many spices with a decent ginger and citrus complexion. Very intriguing smell which entices me to quickly take a sip.
Taste: For such good smells this beer is very smooth but less pronounced than its aroma. All I can note is that this beer is very similar to cambridge brewery's Honey Ginger offering but much less pronounced. Ginger is apparant along with other sweet tones and sices with some orange peel. Also this beer is slightly overcarbonated which takes away a bit from its taste.
Mouthfeel: Medium to light body but the carbonation of this beer somewhat flushes out the flavor.
Drinkability: For the style I was thinking something a little less sweet and more traditional but drinkable none the less.
Overall: A suprising offering from Paper City, but the sweetness was just a bit too much for me along with the ginger. For those who are a fan of such flavors I'd fully recomend it. A nice easy summer brew.

12ozer purchased as a single from the Spirit Haus, Amherst, MA, apparently another brew from the "limited brewer's offering," as noted on the somewhat generic label.
Poured into an imperial pint glass, formed a lively 2" white head above a somewhat cloudy golden brew. Dense head hung around for quite some time, and laced well. Aroma is of grain and spices, with a bit of citrus sour in the mix. Taste is as portended by the nose, although it seems like it could be a bit heartier in the grains department. As a result, the mouthfeel was a bit thin, but did not affect the drinkability, which was good. A nice summer brew, with some interesting aspects for the taste buds.

Decent appearance..good lacing with a hazy light copper coloration. Smell was very light on the wheat with some undefined "fruity" note. Taste was was not overly wheaty,,,some peppery notes..not the best flavor in the world. Mouthfeel waas a bit on teh oily side, but with a dry finish. Drinkability is slightly above average...I bought a six, so I'll drink one or two at a time.
