Got this one on-cask at a Brewfest,
pour: cloudy,light golden, not much head to speak of.
aroma: was floral,whiff of apple cider
taste, hops hit up front, sort of a woodsy background flavor.
Mouthfeel:Tangy, medium body, surprisingly finishes wet, for a hop brew.
drinkability:..I would rate as high, goes down real smooth!...very nice cask ale!

12ozer purchased as a single from the Spirit Haus, Amherst, MA.
Poured into an imperial pint glass, formed a 3/4" white head above a slightly cloudy golden brew. Head showed some resiliency, and laced well. Aroma is yeasty, with the slightest malt sweetness underneath it all. Taste is starts with that same slight pale malt sweetness, then switches to a crisp, somewhat biting citrus flavor. Mouthfeel is kind of off-putting, what with the non-so-balanced citrus, and drinkability is a bit better, but still wanting in my book, even for a pale ale.

Pours a hazy yellow with a nearly invisible head. No lacing or retention.
Very very yeasty in it's aroma.

Banchee Extra Pale Ale was transluscent gold. There was a nice head and a bit of lace. There was some floral aroma. The taste was a bit citrusy with a little caramel and some sweetness. It did have a nice hop bite. The finish was dry and unmemorable. A drinkable hot weather beer.

I understand that this is Paper City's attempt to produce a crossover beer and I think they've been quite successful in doing so. I'm generally not a fan of lighter ales but this one is very drinkable. Pours golden with a nice head. Seems to have a lot of flavor for this type of ale - quite sweet but with a sufficiently dry finish to offset the negative aspects of too much sweetness. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this one again - particularly for the warm summer days hopefully ahead.

Shiny gold in color with a thin white head and some sticky lace. A faint malty aroma is not worth any raves or rants. Quite citrusy with the flavor of sweet limes dominating the palette. Slightly doughy and the vague essence of yeast round out this rather bland version of a pale ale. I expected better from what I have read and heard about Paper City. I'll gladly try it again, but only when it's absolutely necessary.

The Banchee poured a light golden color, very clear, with a thin white head, simply rimming the glass. Some minimal lace also present. Nose was exceedingly mild, with the faintest hints of bready malt, though hard to discern! Bodywise, the Banchee was about medium, yet it was slightly rough traversing the tongue. Bready malt was the leadoff flavor, with a mild, fruity-like hop character picking things up and leading into the finish. Not a bad tasting bier, yet nothing more than just above average, imho.

It has been a while since I have chanced upon a Paper City brew. I happened upon this in the local store, which was quite a surprise. I had stopped searching out PC brews due to my experience with watery beer in the past. This one was not bad. I was expecting extra watery from being an extra pale ale, but the body and malt presence were heavy enough to create a pretty tasty beer. ice light smoky yeasty finish was flavorful and led to a quickly disappearing six-pack.

A very drinkable and light beer.Poured a tall foamy head that lasted for awhile and left large amounts of lace up my glass.The color is a light gold very clear.A faint hint of hops and a finish of wheat.This shouldnt offend the lightest of beer drinkers.Although I wish it was a bit stronger.Great for anytime of the year.Not very complex and real basic.The taste doesnt leave much to ponder about,but it serves its purpose.

12 oz brown long neck bottle with no freshness date. Good clarity though the head drops after the quick foaming action during the pouring.
Slight brash hoppiness in the aroma, with a faint sweet grain.
Moderate body with a semi crisp carbonation bite. Spicy citrusy hop, lots of pale malt sweetness that seems to stay at one rhythm. Hops are flavourful yet further hide the malt flavour. Faded citrus hop in a light dry finish as all that is left in the after taste.
Not a beer I’d want to drink all night but a decent one to start the palate off. If you like very pale American Pale Ales that hold a modest malt then this one is for you.

Smell: Clean. Grains. Gentle hop aroma.
Taste: Nice rounded sweetness and bready character, topped by a thin splash of the hops. Smooth initially, going a bit coarse around the edges as things warm up. Floral, herbal, tea-like when it's all put together. Finish has some residual sweetness and hops, and a semi-dry palate.
Notes: A balanced, smooth and mild pale ale. I do wish there was a bit more "omph!" to this beer, but apart from that well worth a try and a decent session beer.
