Trying on tap at Old Chicago this is really good and is good balance of sweet coffee, vanilla, and malt. My apologies if this is on here already. Idk. I lowkey might prefer this to the original.

On tap at the North Dock tap room. Served in a standard pint glass
Pours jet black with no discernable highlights. About two fingers worth of frothy tan head, that leaves a decent amount of lacing. Nearly stout-like in its appearance
Smooth sweet chocolate, vanilla, and coffee. A very slight roasty aroma as it starts to warm. Not much in the way of hops. The beer has a sweet almost chocolate milk like aroma that gets slightly more complex as it warms
The taste is similar. Sweet vanilla and chocolate, with a very smooth coffee presence that intensifies as the beer warms. The coffee is surprisingly smooth with none of the bitterness that coffee can add to a beer. I think this one is so smooth and sweet it could have used just a little more roasty character to help balance it out.
Light/medium body, smooth creamy mouthfeel, moderate carbonation.
Overall, this was a very nice beer.
