Poured stout black with a *very* short lived brown head.
The aroma was lost on my Covid affected nose.
The taste was bourbon forward with the stout playing second fiddle. The nuances were lost in the bourbon. Maybe chocolate and coffee, but hard to tell.
I suspect that aging this might have mellowed the bourbon somewhat.
The feel was appropriate for the style, though some carbonation might have been helpful.
OA, I enjoyed it but there are better BA stouts out there.

Standard pour yields nothing more than a faint lopsided dark khaki lacing that fizzes away I. The blink of an eye... Color is a deep dark opaque sleek jet black... Nose is surprisingly subdued with faint notes of chocolate and raspberries... Flavor profile is much more pronounced and displays an astounding array on complexity... Chocolate, lightly roasted malt and the barrel aging notes all ebb and flow while competing for prominence... The BA-aging and booziness ultimately win out on the finish... On the lighter side of medium bodied... Sleek with just a touch of carbonation... very very nice well rounded beer... Perhaps a touch understated, but that's not necessarily a bad thing...
