We got a growler of this one for our homebrewing session.

Pours a murky dark orange, some hazel nut shell and amber. Medium off-tan head, somewhat creamy and dense.

Aroma is hoppy and woody, more of a green wood and tropical hop smell. Citrus as well, but not as powerful as their DIPA. Sometimes I think wood takes the mojo out of other aromas...

..and flavors. Bitter at first, some pine and citrus. Malt is strong yet unobtrusive. Some caramel and nutmeg? Wood/oak is a bit green. Some tannins add another dimension to the hop bite. As with Great Divide's oaked IPAs this one is noticeably oaked. Not my thang, but it's not bad and I drank half the growler.
