Aroma is lightly sweet and nutty, with a hint of maple and floral hops.

Flavor is maple sweet, with nutty undertones and a slightly offputting fruitiness that could be yeast derived.

Thoroughly enjoyed from the growler via DEPS in N Ky in a snifter. This excellent maple brown ale pours a lightly dark clear mahogany with a nice head of off white foam that settles to a thick ring, slight pool, and very nice lacing. Nose of sweet maple syrup notes, caramel, and subtle booze. Flavors exceed by strength of force----maple and mild butterscotch comes in force on the front, middle, and sides with subtle dark breaded notes and a rich caramel and maple aftertaste that is fresh and pure without being artificial. Good carbonation, lightly coating mouth feel...excellent! Almost a dopplebock by flavor profile, yet easily a maple brown ale that is better than the one brewed with a elf on the front. Very nice.

Cheers
