A: Nearly opaque, dark brown. Looks more like a stout than a porter in the glass. An inch of thick, beige head that lasted til I finished the last drop.

S: Not much on the nose at all. Typical porter smells, but somehow dialed back. Roasted malts and coffee are dominant, but not strong.

T: Tastes like it smells, but much stronger. Roasted malts, nuts, and dark chocolate up front, with a delayed coffee finish -- almost espresso-like. I was surprised as to how much delay there was before the finish hit me.

M: Creamy. Outstanding thick mouthfeel, almost like a stout. Amazing for the fairly low ABV.

O: Recommended. Could be considered a hybrid stout-porter in my book; look and feel of a stout, strength and flavor of a porter.
