This ale has a noticeably dark malt favor with a mild, yet rich, roasted character. Hop flavor and aroma are subtle but present. A very smooth and satisfying porter.

Great long lasting dark tan head... nice lacing... the brew is almost black... hints of light slink through.
Nose seems light.. dark chocolate... not quite enough sweetness to make the aromas jump out of the glass... sorta grassy hoppiness is in there too.
The brew is all about the cocoa... bittersweet chocolate with some dark malt astringency.... falls flat a bit mid palate.. sorta watery, could use more sweetness... the hops show also toward the finish... American... mild citrus..
Body is pretty light for the style.. carbonation is a little high.
Okay brew... needs to be dialed in before I would buy more than a taster.
