Apparently the local high school sports team is the Bull Dogs. They were state champs back in 95 though state champs at what, I never did learn. True to its word, BD Amber is a mostly clear amber ale with an unabashedly malty profile. It bursts seductively with plum and cherry essence in the nose and taste. Hops arrive late to provide closure, but are otherwise of a remote secondary nature and allow the fruitiness to dominate and linger.
Some may consider this more of a beer candy than suits their tastes, but I liked it just fine. Residual sugars suggest low attenuation but I can live with that. The fruit fly that found those sugars towards the pints bottom could not. It died. But what a way to go.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
