Appearance: Dark brown with a light tan head. My only complaint is that the head retention was a little bit less than I would like, but it stayed around for quite awhile.
Smell: Mostly a variety of malt flavors like biscuit and caramel, and some brown sugar and molasses. I'm not great at picking out specific hop types, but it seemed pretty english to me, with out the west coast citrus.
Taste: Like the smell, but better. The malts are robust and full bodied, and cover up the alcohol perfectly. The hops are faintly noticable, but provide a nice slight flavor balance.
Mouthfeel: Very nice balance of bitterness and malt sweetness. No noticeable alcohol.
Drinkability: I could have gone through 4-5 pints of this, and I'm usually a 1-2 pint a session drinker. If I could get it regularly I'd put it in standard rotation.
