Pint served on draft at Hill's in Spokane for $3.50 (happy hour price). According to Cashmere's website, this beer is brewed with 16 LBs of hops that are continuously added during a 60 minute boil.
Poured a dark copper color. There was about an inch of white foam that dropped quickly but left lots of lace in the forms of white foam rings on the sides of the glass.
This is a fairly citrusy IPA in the scent department. There's piney and spicy notes as well, but the grapefruit-like hops are most dominant here.
Like in the nose, the citrusy aspects of the hop flavor is what most jumps oout at the tastebuds, though it is well-blended with piney, peppery flavors as well, though they are more in the background. Also in the background is a bready maltiness that just makes it's presence known but does not assert itself in any other way. Dry at the swallow.
Coating, slightly oily mouthfeel. Not as much as a big hop bomb, but there's no question it's an IPA.
A very drinkable hoppy beer. Cashmere beers are really starting to turn up around here lately, and, so far, that doesn't seem to be a bad thing at all. I would definitely drink this again when wanting an IPA.
