Served on-draught into a St. Thomas goblet in a cafe in France. Reviewed from notes.
A: Pours a one finger head of nice cream, decent thickness, and average retention. Colour is a semitransparent yellow.
Sm: Barley, cream, and maybe butterscotch (diacetyl?). A mild strength aroma.
T: Tinges of butterscotch, some watery undercurrents, and a full barley foundation. A touch of cream is present on the open. No alcohol comes through. It's a simple, bad build for the style, but the balance is decent.
Mf: Smooth and wet. Too much on both counts. The thickness, however, is nicely executed and suitable for the flavours.
Dr: It isn't horribly drinkable, and the quality is lacking. It's priced badly in France, but I imagine it's incredibly cheap in Germany. Either way, I won't be looking for it anytime soon.
