Holyyyy Saint Paulaner this is delicious. At Nockherberg on Thanksgiving Day. A gorgeous burnt red color with a fat head. Right from first sip you know it’s special. Half liter at Nockherberg, this is a seasonal specialty, an unfiltered Dunkel. Massive malt profile, with dark fruit, spice, wood, earth, all the good stuff there. Drinkability is off the charts, with a body and feel that most breweries would only dream about. It’s so smooth that it makes you emotional. A truly special beer but you get what you pay for. One of the most expensive “pints” I’ve come across in Germany at €6,20 in November 2023.
