Light proof black beer with a medium sized brown colored head.
Smells of patent malt and char. Scent of phenol and slight smoke. Neutral sweetness.
Starts out semi sweet and dry with a strong chocolate taste. Little bit of coffee but mostly this is chocolate. Slight bitterness and it gets drier as you drink it. But the taste just doesn't change much.
Mouthfeel is OK.
Overall a functional Oatmeal Stout.

Dark beige head that leaves some spots on the glass. Dark brown color where no light passes through the edge of the glass.
This smells similar to the Nitro Oatmeal. Mostly Baker's chocolate.
There's an ashen flavor throughout the tasting. The finish brings forth a little more charred wood. Long bitter aftertaste which I think comes from hops and not black patent malt. Thin body, high carbonation.

Appearance - Dark chocolate in color with a hint of red. No real head to speak of, but I blame the pour
Smell - chocolate, coffee and toasted grain
Taste - Truly bad. It tasted like I was drinking horribly burnt toast. The flavor was strong and tended to, unpleasantly, linger
Mouthfeel - For being an oatmeal stout, it was surprisingly watery. It didn't feel like there was much weight to it at all.
I'm willing to give any brew a second chance, but
unless I just got a freak pint for some reason, I doubt I'll ever drink this again.
