Cloudy orange colored ale with a medium sized white head. This is decidedly IPA Orange. The can states this is unfiltered.
Smells of citrus and wood. Mostly this smells of orange. Malty and slightly sweet smelling.
Starts out mildly sweet and strong on the orange flavor. Not nearly as bitter as the 88 IBUs on the can would suggest. Surprisingly mildly flavored. This is dangerously easy to drink for its strength.
Mouthfeel is on the thick side, it is unfiltered.
Overall this is the tastiest IPA I have had in awhile. I can fully recomend this.

Presentation: 16 oz. can with no dates. Served in a Samuel Adams pint glass.
Appearance: The thick, two finger head stays around for a while and settles into a robust foam layer that leaves thick lacing sheets all around the glass. It's a slightly hazy, bright gold color. Easily the best aspect of this beer.
Smell: Big, fruity hop aromas of pineapple, mango, papaya and a hint of green apple dominate the nose. There's a grainy malt scent in the background as well.
Taste: There's a lot of hop character but it's not that bitter. The main flavors are fruity with some pineapple, grapefruit, mango, banana and a pine resin aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: It's thick, creamy and smooth but still quite refreshing with medium-high carbonation.
Overall: A very good Imperial IPA that's strong in hoppy aromas and flavors but keeps bitterness low, making it easy to drink. The robust mouthfeel and variety of fruit flavors and aromas keep things interesting for this looking to drink something more complex.
