A very disappointing beer. The look was pretty nice, although a bit hazy for a standard IPA. The head remains on top so that's a plus. The smell disappears rather quickly. And the taste almost completely leaves the mouth after first sip. It feels nice for a 7.1% ABV IPA but the lack of much taste really makes the beer unredeemable. It's nothing special so you don't need to avoid it but don't seek it out.

This IPA delivers in what it promises, a west coast IPA that has notes of pine. Other than that there isn't much going for it. Its dry, bitter (not in a good way) and not that refreshing. Its like somebody tried to make a Lagunitas IPA but it fell short.

Poured from 12 oz can into glass mug. Amber color with a thick soapy white head. Grassy aroma up front. Taste does have some citrus crepping through with a little fruitiness. Good mouthfeel. Not bad at all. Prost!

The beer pours out a crystal clear medium golden color, with 1 finger of white head--------- the aromas are of dank weed, citrus zest, pine and grapefruit--------- the flavors are of grapefruit pith, lime zest, earthyness and sweet malts, the beer has a medium mouthfeel with a medium bitter finish-------------- overall this was a solid west coast ipa nothing fancy just a good old school brew-----------

Canned 7/2/18, consumed 7/29/18

Classic-style West Coast IPA - hoppy & bitter (80 IBUs). Aroma is a bit mild compared to the taste. Overall another nice, well-rounded old school type offering.

Pint Glass. Served at the SLO brewery.

Pours a clear amber. A good white head and decent lacing. Scents are strong hops. A nice citrus and rind blend. Not much malt finds its way through the hops. Some lemon sweetness are the finally for the scents.

Flavors are good strong hop bitterness. Deep rind and citrus give a powerful bitter bite. Lemony in the middle. A malt tries to assert itself. It loses for the most part but is there in spirit mostly. A crisp hop flavor and some peppery bite establishes control in the finish.

A very poppy mouthfeel. Crisp and biting on the palate. It is very nice and wakes up the taste buds. It drinks easy. Some alcohol is present but that only adds to the enjoyment of the IPA. This IPA is tasted and felt rather potently. Very nice for those of us who dig our hops and bitter bite.
