Served from the can in a Lagunitas mason jar.
Said mason jar is definitely gonna need a scrubbin' after this one. Anyway, this stuff pours a cloudy sunset auburn-orange topped by a finger or so of dirty white-ish foam. The nose comprises spicy tomato soup, sweet mango, and a vague vegetality I can't quite put my finger on. The taste brings in more of the same at first, but very quickly a demon Moltres of peppery heat swoops in and coats the world in its spice. Not gonna lie, it's a pleasant surprise, given my less-than-stellar-to-say-the-least history with micheladas offered by breweries. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a dry finish. Overall, a pretty solid and enjoyable michelada, especially if some spice is your thang.

Pour is a murky muddy red color. Really cool orange like colored head gone in an instant. Wish it would have stayed. Interesting color..
Smell is kind of a musty one. Mango. And slightly sweet mango. Not much else.
Taste is mango up front. Spicy notes of chili pepper. Kind of a smoky taste in this one. The pepper does have some spice. Real simple mango and chili flavor but damn well done. Getting that tomato also. Yet very prominent mango chili.
Mouth is medium and tends to make it a sipper. When you go to swallow you get a bit of sweet from the mango and a punch from the pepper. This really draws out that finish.
I have had the original and now the mango Tio Rodrigo. They are both fantastic if you like the Michelada style of beers. I have really been impressed by what this brewer has done with these beers and have got to say I am a huge fan! I think these beers should be on the shelves everywhere. Get this stuff out to the masses! I really have to say I have now found my favorite canned Michelada, hands down! Thank you so much and hats off to the brewers of these fine beers!
