500ml Bottle conditioned: BBD the end of Aug 2013. Poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard on 19 Jun 2013 on my sun drenched patio.
God it's black, jet black in fact: on top a thick and rich tanned head.
Dark chocolate and rich coffee notes hit the nose: these carry on into the heavy tasting mouth, almost burnt aftertaste as the mouth dries.
Really good feel to the beer, can't believe it is only 4%ABV, seems a lot stronger and fuller to be so low.
I've been a bit unkind to this brewery before now, but this is a good beer and I'm more than pleased to project that in my scoring. I hate knocking 'the little guy', so this equals out the bad times nicely.
