I had this beer on-tap in a cheater pint at the brewery.
Appearance: rich amber hue with a light haze and a finger of creamy tan foam. A nice lace is left on the glass as the head dissipates.
Smell: sweet and caramelly malt with an earthy hoppiness. Not too bad.
Taste: very malty with a rather sweet edge. Hops are earthy and there's a relatively strong bitterness. It's a bit uninspiring, but well-enough made.
Mouthfeel: big body with a big carbonation and a very nice, full creaminess.
Overall: not a bad beer, but a bit sweet and a bit simple in its formulation.

Really good, strong IPA from Big E Ales. My favorite offering from them. The citrus scent is incredible.

A similarly generic, stronger version of their IPA. Malty, dry, american hop profile but on the modest side stylistically. There's a smokey phenolic note that I find interesting, but accentuates the thickness.
Mothfeel is very dry, sticky.
Drinkability is ok, not my style of a DIPA, but regionally appropriate. Basically, the further north up I-5, the maltier and mudier the IPA, West coast style. This close to a BC, it mightas well be from Dogfish Head...

A: Poured a darkish amber/orange color with good carbonation and a nice white cap
S: A bit of pine, caramel perhaps pretty tame nose and hard to pull any typical IPA characteristics out of it
T: An average IIPA. At 9.5 I was eaxpecting big hop basket on this but instaed I got a bigger, balanced IIPA with booze and pine. I still felt this beer was closer to 8%ABV versus the 9.5ABV. It did have that staple sordove homebrew taste to it
M: Sordove slick, just enough bitterness, medium to big body
O: Not to shabby

Draft pour at the brewery into a pint glass.
Dark amber appearance. Nice head.

A good beer and I enjoyed it very much.
Waitress mentioned that Ellersick would be canning their beers in the near future and am looking forward to trying them more often.

The idea behind the name is that you only need two pints of this 9.5% ABV beer and you're ready to go home and sleep it off. Indeed, they'll only serve you two pints and they charge a dollar more for it. It begins with a soft sandy head on a clear copper body. If you made paper out of hops (an intriguing notion) it would probably smell as softly fragrant as this strong ale does.
Most elements of 2 Pint are fairly average. The lace is substantial, but the aroma and taste are fairly dilute and the beer tastes like hop tea. Big, but still routine.
