I had this beer on-tap at the brewery. This beer is listed as a seasonal on the menu, which also indicated that this beer has been aged six months.
Appearance: deep, rich brown hue with plenty of haze and a thick finger of creamy tan foam. I quite like it.
Smell: lightly acidic and fruity aroma. Some chocolate around the edges. I like the composition here.
Taste: moderate fruity sourness right up front, followed by a sweetish caramel malt and a good chocolate character. Kind of like a sour Belgian dark ale. I quite like it.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a huge carbonation and a nice silliness. Wonderfully creamy and fulfilling.
Overall: this is a highly tasty, satisfying and drinkable sour. I'm so pleased to see something like this made in my own town; it really floats my boat.
