July 2018: 500 ml can, thanks to Holmen1. Reddish brown colour, large off-white head. Malty aroma, notes of brown bread, some caramel. Malty flavour too, brown bread again, also slightly burnt breadcrumbs, a little caramel but not very sweet, noticeable bittering hops in the finish. Okay beer.

On holiday in ohrid macedonia looking for a drinkable beer; This is one of the slightly flavored variants, which is darker and still a faint hint of malt but also lacks flavor a little less naughty

.5 litre brown glass bottle with a foil-ed over pry-off crown cap and a simple label purchased at a Vero hypermarket in Skopje for 39 denars (plus a 5 denar bottle deposit) and poured into a nonical pint glass:
HEAD: ~6cm wide. Light khaki colour. Nicely creamy. Somewhat frothy. Leaves no real lacing as it recedes. Retention is above average - ~4 minutes.
BODY: Deep amber. Nontransparent; semitranslucent. No yeast particulate is visible within.
Appears well-carbonated. It looks decent for a dark lager.
AROMA: Baked bread, cherry flavouring (though not to the extent that it comes off as artificial grenadine or anything), amber malts, cream, and cleanly attenuating lager yeast. Sweetness is moderately high - will this be balanced?
I detect no overt hop profile, nor any off notes. Aromatic intensity is average.
TASTE: Matches the aroma, with a nice cherry flavour and an amber malt dominance. Balance isn't as dialed in as would be ideal, and it's definitely simple, but it exceeds my expectations given the scale on which it's brewed and Heineken's ownership of the brewery.
TEXTURE: Medium-bodied. Unrefreshing, smooth, wet, and of average heft and weight on the palate. Slightly overcarbonated.
OVERALL: It's not a gestalt whole of a beer, and there's no harmony of texture and taste. But frankly, for a Heineken-owned macrobrewed lager of any sort, it's surprisingly not bad. Drinkable for what it is, and absolutely affordable. The touch of cherry is nice, but ultimately it's rather forgettable for what it is. You could do far worse in Macedonia...

Pours brown with a good tan head. The head disapates into a thin lace that retains well.
Some coffee aroma as well as lightly roasted malts. Smells mostly like a dark lager, but with hints of stout.
Creamy feel. Medium bodied to light. Lightly roasted malt taste. Mild hops finish.
This one was o.k. Skopsko is The country of Macedonia's most popular beer. This one is a new one. Skopsko Temni means skopsko dark.
