This light-bodied Sour Ale has a tartness created by allowing lactobacillus to act on the wort over several days in the kettle. Italian Plums add to a fruity finish for a clean balance and a refreshing, drinkable beer!
Malts: 2-Row Pale, Wheat, Carapils, and Honey.
Hops: Cascade.

Poured from can into a snifter
Appearance – The beer pours a very hazy dark amber-orange color with a one finger head of fizzy white foam. The head fades very fast leaving just a trace of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell –The aroma of the brew is strongest of a grainy smell mixed with some apple cider vinegar and a good deal of bread. Along with these smells comes some light mustiness as well as a bit of hay and light fruit.
Taste – The taste begins with a bready and slightly apple cider vinegar sour taste. As the taste advances the bready loses ground while the apple cider vinegar gets stronger and is joined by some lemon, a bit of light fruit (peach, plum, and pear) and some almost candied tastes. More sourness comes at the very end of the taste, and with the mix of fruit, bread, and sour leaves one with a rather nice, lightly to moderate, sour and balanced taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body is one the medium side in terms of thickness and chewiness with a carbonation that is slightly lower. The body feel is great as it supports the flavors, but is not overwhelming, but a little higher carbonation may have been slightly better for the sour and lightly sweetened tastes. All said, overall it is pretty decent.
Overall – I am not a huge sour guy, but this one is very approachable and easy drinking with a good balance of malt, sour, and sweet. A great non-sour snob sour!!
