Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a hazy, medium golden amber with a fine, two finger whitehead with great retention and thick lacing. Aroma of biscuit malt, citrus hops, lemon, orange and a hint of caramel. Flavor is biscuit and pale malt, citrus hops, lemon and grapefruit. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A quite citrusy pale ale of the biscuity malt style. The citrus is a bit tart and forward, but is held in check by the the oat body, which gives this a little more heft and depth. I don't drink pale ales much any more, but I'm always drawn to the oat ones and I think that redeemed this one for me.
