British Columbia review dump.
A- Filtered and clear medium golden pour from the bomber to a becher glass. A foamy cap shoots up to a finger high but falls quickly to a small belt around the sides with a few small islands atop the beer. Thin but plentiful sheets of lacing.
S- Floral and citrus hops in not so mucho quantities make up most of the aroma with a compliment of pale barley and breadiness. Nose suggests a medium sweetness and grapefruit is the only specific thing that pops out here. Just a bit faint and one dimensional.
T- Not as malty as the nose suggests but the hops, in comparison to the juice bombs of today, are not that bold. Floral, earthy and herbal notes follow up on a big grapefruit citrus character. Pale base grains, cereal, cracker and bready hints from the yeast and malts to provide a base and balance to the hops. Again not a lot of specific hop flavors to really grip onto and identify.
MF- Fluffy and silky consistency to the medium body. Carbonation is at a moderate level and the brew finishes off with a soft floral bitterness.
Brewed fairly well with a clean ferment and malts that compliment the hops used but in the end it lacks a wow factor or a fresh hop note to latch onto. Floral and grapefruit hops with mild malt influence to balance.
