Served in 20 oz pint glass in-house.
A: A reddish-amber hue, fairly transluscent with a small, light-tan head. Slow to dissipate. A pretty hue, but standard head.
S: Malt, smoke, tamazon, a little tangy, almost raspberry-esq, or even boisenberry. Little faint though.
T: More raspberry, boisenberry, lemon with a small hint of malt and hop on the finish. Almost a little licorice, or root tea. Interesting, but, again, faint.
M: Small-medium carbination, long on tonue with some alright foam. A little lacklustre.
O: A good beer, certainly refreshing, probably a better alternative to the Berry Ale. Certainly flavourful, but, although this could have been because I hadn't eaten yet, I think it could have used a little more body.

Not sure if this is a limited release, a seasonal or a new addition but I don't recall this being offered before. At first glance, this is bordering on mahogany, but when held up to the light it reveals itself as a dark copper colour. Dense, frothy head.
Nice, sweet malty scent with faint coppery hints and a light fruitiness. Creamy, smooth malt taste. Very faint hint of bananas, and a very mild citrus profile.
A bit undercarbonated; I'm used to a bit more "oomph" in my reds. Pleasant, easy to drink and a nice new addition to Swans line up.
