Swans Brepub 'Caffe Fantastico DSP' aka Double Shot Porter @ 5.5% , served from a 650 ml bottle purchased for $6 & growler in 2014 for $12.65 ,
A-pour is cola brown from the growler to an almost black in the glass with some ruby red at the bottom & a medium tan head leaving a streaky lace film along the pint
S-Caffe Fantastico's 850 double shots of espresso , bitter but so pleasant on the nose
T-coffee/espresso plus , wow , definate breakfast beer candidate
MF-ok carbonation , good medium body , still pleasant on the palate
Ov-good/possible great beer , hasn't seemed to make it's way off the Island yet , possibly because of limited seasonal release or it's Swan's?

Also known as DSP...alcohol is 5.5%.
Dark, almost stout-like colour with a fairly thin head. Coffee in the nose, with light mocha hints. Definite chocolate coffee bean taste. It is unescapable, and there really isn't much else in the nose. Coffee. A bit of chocolate. Delicious.
Coffee taste, bits of chocolate. Black coffee bitterness, light chocolatey hints. A faint malty, sort of Ovaltine character. This really is a coffee beer. Not much else, and it's really good for that.
Carbonation is good, but this does seem a bit thin. As a porter, and a coffee porter especially, this could stand to be a bit thicker. Otherwise, a great beer.

Appearance. Pours a dark cola brown with a little red and a finger of creamy, light tan head that leaves some nice bands of lace.
Smell. Big fresh dark roasty coffee and a little bit of dark roasty grains. Smells really good.
Taste. Big roasty coffe, sweet and creamy. A little dark malt. Nice coffee left in the mouth.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with below medium carbonation. Maybe just a bit thin.
Overall. Really nice cup of joe here. Great for a lazy sunday morning. I'll be grabbing another one of these for sure.

A: 1/8" tan head over cola coloured liquid.
S: It literally smells like I just walked into a Starbucks.
T: The coffee taste is not nearly as strong as the coffee smell and it is quite creamy. Quite good actually.
M: Thin viscosity and low carbonation, but it is extremely creamy and smooth.
O: A very good coffee porter, and another fantastic offering by Swans.
