22oz brown bomber with a freshness date. Route 13 Stateline Convenience Store in Brookline, NH.
Complete darkness fills the glass, dense brown head is slow to subside. Sweet roasty nose meets chocolate and dark roast coffee with hints of alcohol and black currants. Creamy full body with a slight slickness on the palate, hefty dose of roasted graininess throughout. Hop character simply just balances this brew out. Molasses and dark fruit in the middle. Warming but not hot, long roasty finish that lands bitter-sweet.
Very easy to sip with even being quite bold. Certainly worth a go, a bottle further down the road could be interesting as well.

A - Jet black, dark brown healthy head. Little lacing left behind.
S - Roasted coffee, chocolate, dark fruit, dates, figs,
T - Roasty malts, alcohol, black licorice.
M - Chewey. Very thick, Coats the palate, but isn't cloying. Very nice per the style.
O - An excellent imperial stout. The coffee, roasty flavor is more forward than any I've ever had. I saw this at the Rt13 Stateline store and I had to try it. I love that store and I'm a sucker for a good pun. I really wanted to like this beer before I tried and it actually is quite good.
