Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – the beer pours a clear golden color with a small head of white foam. The head has a decent level of retention, fading over time and leaving a moderate bit of streaky and foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is massive of a nice fresh blueberry smell mixed with notes of lemon and a decent showing of grain. Along with these smells comes notes of hay and a touch of must. Overall, rather inviting.
Taste – The taste is much less blueberry filled then I would have anticipated from the nose. It begins with a cracker and grainy malt flavor mixed with a drier blueberry flavor and some very light lemon peel flavors. There is also notes of earth and herb, along with some lemon seed and hay. As the taste advances the blueberry gets a touch stronger, while the grain does as well, leaving one with a rather crisp and not too sweet blueberry pale ale taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body is rather light to medium with a higher carbonation level, both of which are very fitting for the tastes and style, making for an easy sipping refresher.
Overall – I actually rather liked this one. Not over the top, but well flavored, easy drinking, with a nice session style abv. Not bad.

This would be a fairly standard fruit beer however it has a very unpleasant pith bitterness that makes it difficult to enjoy.

Moderate pour yields a 1/2 inch white head over a very bright and clear golden body with minimal lacing. Nose of slight blueberry and even slighter lemon. Taste follows but with a strange, almost metallic finish. Feel is okay and overall, one and done!
