From the bottle, it pours a deep black with a tan head which reduces quickly. Definite coffee in the nose. The mouth gets some slight sourness, possibly from the age of the bottle.

From the 650 ml. bottle with a Sept 2016 Enjoy By date on the label. Sampled on June 28, 2016. This beer was brewed in honor the Hanover Community Cooperative Food Store's 60th Anniversary. It can only be found at their stores.
The pour is deep black with a tan head that becomes a ring.
There is plenty of coffee in the aroma that is of the richer variety like an espresso. Some butterscotch notes.
The body is thin to medium.
The taste also brings out the coffee but is seems a little more subdued than the aroma would suggest. Same yeasty, butterscotch character to finish. Mild dry end.
