Big tropical fruit and citrus flavors headline this smooth DIPA, balanced out by just enough malt sweetness. Dedicated to the Old Man of the Mountain, this robust aromatic beer combines mosaic and citra hops for a taste as bold as our state's motto - "Live Free or Die".

From the 16 oz. can stamped 01/23/18. Sampled on March 22, 2018.
It pours a handsome looking medium golden-amber tone with a modest, lacing-leaving head and excellent clarity.
The aroma is immediately tropical, pineapple, citrus, orange, and mango with the white bread playing up in the background.
Smooth, medium body.
While the aroma bursts with sensations, the flavor tends to go all bitter and herbal. But that could be due to the fact it is two months old. Lingering dry finish. Still, I liked it but I wish I got to try it a few weeks back.

Having a 12oz pour today at The Nashua Garden. The small tulip is priced at $3.00 during Happy Hour, $6.00 otherwise.
It's a slightly hazy, deep golden color, with sparse carbo. The head is an extremely thin layer of fine, white foam. The lacing is quite nice despite the minimal head. Smells like a freshly opened jar of apricot jam.Throw in some tangerine and mild toasty malts. The body is solidly medium, with little rough action on the tongue.
Taste picks up where the aroma left off: light toasty notes, a hint of caramel, then sweetish citrus - tangerine and apricot. Also had some pineapple and a bit of bitter grapefruit.
Has a nice balance between sweet citrus and pithy, rindy hopping. Solid!! Prosit!!

Poured into a 13 oz Free Will Teku glass canned 9/22/17. Pours a very attractive slightly hazy dark orange, with a solid finger and a half sticky white head that leaves behind some thin layers of lace.
Smell is apricot, tangerine, passion fruit, caramel, pineapple, and a little grapefruit.
Taste follows apricot, caramel, tangerine, pineapple, and very balanced grapefruit bitterness.
Mouthfeel is pretty big, mild carbonation, not dry in the slightest, and drinks very easy for 8% ABV.
Overall this a very solid and balanced DIPA that doesn't sore, but is a very nice brew.
