Pours a glowing hazy orange with a substantial white head. Smell is fairly muted, but principally orange and mango. The orange is stronger in the taste, and accompanied by a strong bitterness, reminiscent of orange rind. Much more bitter than I expected. The flavor changes significantly within each sip: at first the taste is all sweet orange with hardly any noticeable bitterness but then the rind appears in the swallow and aftertaste, so much so that the two flavors seem disconnected from one another.
Overall I was expecting a mediocre NEIPA, but instead I got something I've not experienced before, and that's always welcome.

Good ale by woodstock! Pungent hops well balanced with bready malts. Highly carbonated but quickly fading foam head. I got a new 12-pack and it´s a great brew with tons of pine and grapefruit.

Served from a 16 oz (473 ml) can into a Captain Lawrence muffin top glass; canned 03/11/2021.
A: Pours a very hazy, golden to amber color with a two to three finger, foamy, wheat colored head, a finger of retention, and thick, foamy rings of lacing.
S: Opens with a topical fruitiness which passes quickly. Aroma is ready and dry crust with a distinct vegetal spiciness (rosemary, thyme, and oregano).
T: More semisweet that semidry. Flavors follows the nose with a dried apricot, raisin, date flavor. Strong, greater than anticipated bitterness.
M: Light to medium bodied with strong persistence of carbonation.
O: This is my first beer from Woodstock Inn Brewery. An interesting, dare I say exciting, blend of East Coast IPA flavor elements with bitterness more on the West Coast side.

16 oz can into IPA glass. Dated 7/2/19.
Look is a nice hazy yellow/orange. Smell is sweet tropical fruit and apricots. Taste follows with a little grape fruit rind at end. Fell is medium to light. Overall a little older than I would have liked. Not bad and would try it again if fresher.

So, it's old... Let's see how it goes.
Looks are important! This one looks just fine. Hazy gold with orange highlights. White foam cap forms up, levels out pretty quick but with a decent thin cover left over.
The aroma has a spicy biscuit malty thing going on, high toned, and sharp citrus and pine. The hops are pretty pungent but in a very sharp pine and edgy style. Malt smells heftier and more West coast style than New England.
I usually hone in on the malty flavors first. Dry biscuit and British malts us what I get, crisp but a bit hefty and certainly not in tune with the New England style. It's got it's charms for sure. The hops... big and rather bitter (funny how the can says low bitterness) it's all dry earthy pine, sharp citrus and tangy notes. Intense, yet astringent and slightly boozy.
Mouthfeel is crisp, medium, malty slickness in the middle and even dry to finish.
Overall, it just reminds me of the old school west coast pine bombs of years past. If that's your thing, you'll dig it.

New England style IPA. Hoppy with the scent of citrus. Slight bitter taste, but not overwhelming. Head rings the glass with minimal lacing. Hazy yellow in color. Leaves a bitter aftertaste. I'm not an IPA guy, but this was an acceptable version.

Trying to be impartial, though it's difficult - was drinking this brew religiously over the summer until a chance encounter with a lovely girl led to unexpected life change - also met the namesake brewer as a result of family ties. This stuff is fantastic when fresh - hazy golden pour with a thin white cap that fades nearly to a ring, but laces nicely and never disappears. Aroma is both fruity and malty which is right up my ally and what I enjoy about neipas. Flavor is similar with the malt backbone bringing a bready quality I so enjoy. Never overly bitter, the finish is clean. They seem to still be brewing this one, though it was supposedly a limited release. We'll see what the future holds...

Poured into a tulip, the appearance definitely had a nice looking New England styled thick and hazy color. Slim white semi-foamy cap of a little head gently slid off. Moderate concave lace.
The aroma had some tropical sweet/crushed pineapple/slightly soapy with some brisk malts. Some grassiness coming in underneath.
The flavor was moderately bitter with an underlying tropical sweet fruitiness playing with a distinct malt bill. Incohesive bitter hops and smooth biscuit malts in the aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was dry and about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt on par. Definitely a dry finish with some bitter hops.
Overall, the brewery boasts of this beer having a low bitterness but I didn't see that at all anywhere.
