From a 16 oz. can dated 02/21/2022. Sampled March 11, 2022.
The appearance is a handsome looking amber-red with copper highlights underneath a lingering, fluffy tan head.
The aroma is caramel and toffee malt forward with a mild citrus note that is downplayed. Smells fairly traditional.
The mouthfeel is smooth and high-medium.
The taste is mostly sweet and malty with an earthy bitter bite lingering on the end. 8% booze is buried. It's a delightful Imperial Red. Happy 40th Anniversary Woodtsock Inn.
