Burst of Green DIPA Vol.
Woodstock Inn Brewery
IPA - Imperial / Double New England style IPA:
A burst of hops perhaps, but also a burst of some funky leftover alcohol heat. A malty tinge from phenols that linger. A strange taste at first. The hop combo is also a but strange and not well structured or executed. White wine and lemon zest finish. The feel is a bit lazy too, unfortunately I keep trying and hoping for a breakthrough beer from these guys because I love the location, history and vibe. Obviously something went wrong with this. Too much phenol upfront, lingering and assertive bite makes it very strange.

Sample at the NH Brewfest in Portsmouth 10/14/23. Pours a mostly hazy light amber color without much of a head. Sweet bready light caramel and hints of toffee. Bitter earthy grassy with bits of citrus fruit. not bad.
