Sampled on May 20, 2011. On the menu it was listed as Chocolate Porter not Vanilla Chocolate Poter. It had an attractive dark mohogany-ruby red pour with a delicate, silky off-white head. The appearance was quite nice. The aroma was of milk chocolate and an odd yeast scent. There was little in the way of hops. Sadly, the body was very thin and watery. The taste had something of a vanilla-chocolate thing going on but all in all it was muted and downplayed. It ended with an OK peppery, spicy hop bite. While the beer looked nice the rest of of experience was so-so.
