Brewed to celebrate the total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024 we’ve dimmed the lights on light beer with this Czech dark lager. Saaz hops and imported malts coalesce into a complex dark beer that is smooth and light-bodied.

Forgotten since last year in the back of my fridge... sampled yesterday (11MAY25) out in The 'Zebo...
Poured a clear, very dark, dense mahogany color. Had a frothy, creamy beige head. Started at 1/2" but ebbed down to a fine covering layer, with nice lace. Nose had roasty notes, malty choco and cocoa. Was medium in body and decent on the tongue.
Taste had more roasty action and choco. Was a bit bitter, with some very earthy, floral hopping in the finish. Much hoppier than I expected, which knocks down the score a smidge. Cheers!
