Poured from a 0.5l bottle into a 0.5l Zotler weizen-bier glass.
A: Pours a hazy rust brown color with 3 fingers of puffy white foam on top. Retention was good but sadly, hardly any lace was left behind.
S: Typical Dunkelweizen aromas of banana and clove with a touch of caramel and light citrus. Stangely muted.
T: See above. Rather safe and muted. Mineral-like flavors in the finish.
M: Chewy and full. Mildly carbonated and a bit oily. Nice.
O: I was slightly underwhelmed by this. I was hoping for this to be an amazing German Dunkel but got one that plays it too close to the vest. Enjoyable and refreshing, but not life altering.

Part of mixed case from Edeka Markt. Decent dunkelweizen, but not enough body to give it a higher score. taste is good, but not great. Just average....

Served in a big Kloster Andechs weizen glass.
Swirled up those yeasty boys good, and spent the requisite 10 minutes pouring...
A: Typical cloudy weizen going from murky gold to opaque brown...fluffy head departed quickly leaving a quarter inch of white foam.
S: Noticeable banana...gets the mouth watering.
T: More delicious banana...but pretty straightforward...not much malt complexity...touch watery. Refreshing, but more hefe than dunkel.
M: Silky and slick on the tongue.
O: Hot day hefe. Not a special beer by any means...strays too far from dunkel to provide any excitement. I never do it with good weizens but this beer could use a lemon wedge to add some zest to its otherwise blah flavor characteristics.

Pours a brown hazy color with a thick creamy tan head that fades slowly leaving a good amount of lacing around the glass.
Smell is of yeast and banana, maybe some milk chocolate?
Taste starts spicy up front then some banana bread like flavors. It's a fairly chewy beer and I like that. Lemon zest toward the middle. A dry spicy lingering finish, I almost want to say there is a faint hit of lime juice in the finish.
Not one of my favorite beers, but I would drink it again.
