Copenhagen 6/7 2018. 33 cl bottle from Netto Marken Discount in Kiel. Störtebekers usual design in blue with a Sail Ship in dire waters on the label.
Pours slightly hazy golden yellow with a medium sized head. Settles as a thin layer foam barely covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is of lightly sweet pale malts. Hay, grains and bread. Fresh grass. Light sour notes. Floral.
Light carbonation Thin, watery texture. Lightly lively.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by strong bitterness. Slightly harsh but not unpleasantly so. Aftertaste is bitter. Finish is semi-dry.
Decent bitter pilsner.

They spell it "Pilsener." It pours a clear yellow-gold color with a modest head that soon diminishes to a thinner later. In the nose, it is primarily malt with just a touch of hops. In the mouth, it has a light pilsner kick, with a nice malt base.

Pours a clear, light golden coloration with a large, fizzy head. Smell is quite subdued and oddly sweet: honey, grains, slightly herbal, with the faintest hint of citrus. Taste follows the nose with a noticeable honey sweetness that seems quite uncharacteristic for a Pilsner and slight notes of citrus, grass and some biscuity malt. There's also a slight, lingering mineral presence and a pretty light bitterness. While I will admit to not being a fan of Pilsners in general, this seems like a pretty mediocre example of the style. It's oddly sweet, pretty bland and lacks character and bitterness.

Pours a crystal clear golden color with a foamy, big head.
Smells of dried lemon zest and fresh cut herbs, together with straw and white bread dough.
Has a supersoft mouthfeel with a nice, hop supported refeshment, due to a lively carbonation.
Tastes of straw, silk bread dough, a note of rock sugar and a nice amount of leaves, adding a gentle dryness from the first moment. Offers a wheat softness, which gently embraces a powerful, herbal hop presence. Finishes with a more prominent malt backbone, easily balanced by the dry hops.
A bit dull right before the finish, missing a continously convincing balance, but apart from that, this is really good, with a hop presence I am wishing for in all my Pilsener.
