A: The beer is crystal clear amber in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a short white head that quickly settled down, leaving a narrow collar around the edge of the glass and some specks of bubbles on the surface.
S: Light to moderate aromas of pale malts and malt extracts are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell, except that the flavors of malt extracts are a bit stronger and also contribute a slight amount of sweetness to the taste.
M: It feels light- to medium and a bit clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: There's nothing overly special about the taste of this beer but it is only a tad bit sweet.
Note: Bottle labeled as Andes Origen Roja

Had higher hopes for this considering Quilmes' Bock. Poured with some head that quickly subsided and no lace. Color is a clear copper red. Aroma is very slightly malty, beery, and barest suggestion of roastiness. Flavor's about the same with a little sweetness. Quite watery and forced carbonation. Generally, I think I'd just as soon have the regular Quilmes Cristal unless I was just too freaking bored with it and there were no other options. Entirely forgettable. Got this bottle off the shelf at the nearby Carrefour Supermercado here in Recoleta, Buenos Aires last night.

My younger sis picked this up for me when she was living in Argentina as an exchange student... thanks sis!
Poured from the bottle into a pint glass, beer is an orange-amber color with a big, active tan colored head. The smell is not overwhelming, some sweet amber graininess is about all that is discernable, maybe some very faint floral hops. The flavor is that of a skunked amber lager. Slightly sweet, decently balanced but undeniably skunked. Not sure what conditions it was stored in and no doubt the trip from Argentina was not kind to it. The mouthfeel is light with a good amount of carbonation, pretty average for an amber lager. Overall, a drinkable beer probably would be much better in Argentina.
